On May 8, Polessky State University hosted a meeting of students and university staff with Georgy, Archpriest of Pinsk and Luninets, and Archpriest Fyodor Povny, Chairman of the Synodal Department of the Belarusian Orthodox Church for Cooperation with Secular Educational Institutions of the Belarusian Orthodox Church.
On the eve of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory, the Honorary Professor of Polessky State University congratulated those present on this wonderful holiday and reflected on the significance of the Great Victory. Father Fyodor emphasized that May 9 is not just a date on the calendar, but a symbol of the indomitable will and courage of the Soviet people. "You need to go to the event to honor those who fought for peace with your heart, as memory is born in a moment of caring," said Fyodor Povny.
The clergyman also outlined an urgent topic about the impact of artificial intelligence on the human brain. He warned against blind trust in artificial intelligence, emphasizing the importance of maintaining critical thinking and spiritual values. In his opinion, the development of technology should serve for the benefit of man, and not replace human communication and moral principles. The priest called for the conscious and responsible use of artificial intelligence in order to avoid negative consequences for the mental health and spiritual development of the individual. He emphasized the importance of educating young people with moral guidelines and the ability to distinguish true values from false ones imposed by the modern world.
