On September 14, 2021, Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Belarus Nikitina Anzhelika Aleksandrovna during her working visit to Pinsk visited Polessky State University. In particular, the guests were interested in the subject of innovation infrastructure, scientific and technological park LLC “Polesie Technopark”, created on the basis of Polessky State University. The rector of the university Dunay Valery Ivanovich, the director of the technopark Kozyr Aleksey Viktorovich, the dean of the biotechnological faculty Cheschevik Vitaly Tadeushevich spoke about the success of the technopark in attracting small innovative enterprises, including attracting small innovative enterprises via start-up events, about the successful cooperation between the actors of the park.
Representatives of the university spoke about the work and achievements in the activities of the technopark, about the activities aimed at ensuring the development of its residents. The participants discussed further directions for the future development of the region with an emphasis on the ideas and innovations embodied in products which are in demand on the market.
Angelica Aleksandrovna Nikitina expressed her conviction that in the present-day reality the development of biotechnology in the agro-industrial complex and medicine present new opportunities for the development of the region.
