Belarus is situated in the center of Europe. Belarus provides the shortest transport communications connecting the CIS countries with the countries of Western Europe. It borders  on  Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Russia and Ukraine.

Belarus has a moderate continental climate, with cool humid winters and warm summers. The weather in the Republic of Belarus has 4 clearly defined seasons:
