The international scientific seminar "Biomass conversion technologies for energy supply of territorial communities" was held on 9 December, 2021. The information and communication moderator of the event was the Department of Electrical Engineering, Electromechanics and Electrical Technology of the National University of Bioresources and Environmental Management of Ukraine (the Head of Department, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Zhiltsov A.V.). The co-organizers were the University of Kiev, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (AEC&RI) (Coimbatore, India) and Polessky State University.
The speakers presented a number of topical reports related to scientific and practical approaches to the implementation of the concepts of sustainable development of territorial communities based on modern technologies of rational nature management and intensification of biomass processing into energy resources: «Biomass Energy Conversion Technologies and Pretreatment of Biomass» (Dr. P. Subramanian, Professor and Head, Dept. of Ren. Energy Engg., India), «Increasing the energy efficiency of local microgrids with renewable sources» (Svitlana Makarewich, Associate Professor, Power Supply Department, Ukraine), «Bioconversion and Biodiesel production from Biomass» (Dr. D. Ramesh, Professor, Dept. of Ren. Energy Engg., India), «Modeling of physicochemical processes of biomass conversion under the influence of a magnetic field» (Dr. Mykola Zablodsky, Professor, the Department of Electrical Engineering, Electromechanics and Electrical Technologies, Ukraine).
Within the implementation of the international agreement on scientific and technological cooperation with the National University of Bioresources and Nature Management of Ukraine, Shtepa V.N., the Dean of the Engineering Faculty made a report on "Sustainable water management: water and wastewater treatment".
