In December 2021, Polessky State University joined the Association of Vocational Education Universities of the three northeastern provinces and one region of China as a foreign partner within the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative. On 29 December, 2021, the Constituent Assembly of the Association was held in an online format.
The goal of the Association is to promote the development of vocational education between the Chinese provinces of Liaoning, Jilin, Heilongjiang and Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and the countries of the Belt and Road Initiative. Guided by such development principles as "peace and cooperation", "openness and inclusiveness", "mutual learning and mutual benefit", the Association will take the full use of the features and advantages of professional educational institutions in China and abroad, cooperate with Chinese and foreign universities on training, reforming of teaching, international scientific research, resource sharing, innovation and entrepreneurship in science and education, and academic exchanges.
