The United Nations General Assembly has declared 24 January the International Day of Education in recognition of the role of education in peace and development.

Belarus ranks 36th out of 174 countries of the world in the Human Capital Index. The growth in the export of educational services testifies to the prestige and quality of the education in Belarus. About 27 thousand foreign citizens from 107 countries study in Belarus.
