A Single information day was held in the Republic of Belarus on March 17. A dialogue platform "Youth, traditions, future" was held at Polessky State University within the framework of information and educational events. Deputy of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus of the seventh convocation, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the House of Representatives on Education, Culture and Science Igor Alexandrovich Marzalyuk and Deputy of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus of the seventh convocation, member of the Standing Committee on Education, Culture and Science Klishevich Sergey Mikhailovich met with students and staff of the University.
Igor Alexandrovich Marzalyuk focused on the topic of the genocide of the Belarusian people, noting the amendments to the Basic Law concerning historical memory adopted at the republican referendum. He spoke about the memorial legislation of other countries, about plans for the legislative implementation of the innovations of the Constitution. The audience learned about the unique historical facts confirming the facts of genocide against the people of Belarus during the Great Patriotic War and during the post-war period. The students also had the opportunity to ask their questions and get competent answers.
