Belarusian Entrepreneurship Week has become a traditional and significant event in the economic and social life of the Republic of Belarus. It has already been held for the 7th time this year. During the week an intense business program was planned. It included more than 150 events throughout the country. Before an important event Anatoly Vasilyevich Radtsevich, deputy head of the inspection of Ministry for Taxes and Charges of the Republic of Belarus in Pinsk, visited Polessky State University. Anatoly Vasilyevich delivered a lecture to third-year students of specializations “Finance”, “Insurance”, “Accounting, Auditing and Analysis in industrial settings”. During the lecture current issues of taxation and tax accounting, the speaker told about the impact of digital economy on the development of national taxation system.
Vasily Stefanovich Filipenko, Associated Professor of the department of economics and business, Ph.D., delivered a lecture on the topic “Small and medium-sized businesses: modern state and prospects of development”.
Moreover, a quest “Financial Football for the students of the department of economics and finance” was held by Marina Nikolaevna Galkina, Assistant of the department of Financial management. The game was aimed at testing player’s knowledge in personal financial management.
The students of the department of Banking and Financial Markets delivered educational lectures on financial literacy for students of non-economic specialties on 24 March, 2022.
The Olympiad on accounting was held with the help of virtual educational environment Moodle by Iryna Petrovna Yakubova, Associated Professor of the department of Financial management, Ph.D. The participants were able to solve cross-cutting issues in accounting and define operating performance ratios based on the findings. Teams from different educational establishments such as the branch of BSEU “Minsk Trade College”, Brest State College of Service, Bobruysk State Agrarian Economic College, Baranovichi State College of Light Industry V.E. Chernysheva, Stolin State Agrarian Economic College took part in the Olympiad.
Due to the government Belarusian Entrepreneurship Week has become national and included to the national program “Small and medium-sized business for the period 2021-2025”.
