On October 7, on the basis of gymnasium No. 1, as part of the events dedicated to the Year of Historical Memory, a dialogue platform “Memory for the Future!” was held with the participation of students of the 9th grade of the city's secondary schools, as well as lyceum students of the Polessky State University. Second-year students of the Faculty of Economics and Finance Daniel Radion and Yanina Shelest spoke to the students about their experience of participating as volunteers in the unique information and educational project "Victory Train" and shared their impressions. They noted that it is difficult to describe the feelings and emotions that you experience from visiting such objects, and that those terrible days that the Belarusian people experienced should not be forgotten. Projects such as the "Victory Train" are designed to clearly show both the atrocities of the Nazis and the feat of the defenders. The students expressed their hope to take part in this project again next year. A participant in the dialogue platform, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Intercultural Communications, Irina Gorish, drew the attention of the audience to the need to preserve historical truth. Especially when the rewriting of history becomes popular, monuments to Soviet soldiers - participants in the Great Patriotic War are massively destroyed and called to remember the great feat of the defenders of our Motherland.
