Student youth actively joined the process of discussing legislative innovations - the bills "On the Belarusian People's Assembly" and changes in the Electoral Code. At Polessky State University, in the form of an open dialogue, a meeting was held with a representative of the legislative power of the country - a deputy of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, Deputy Chairman of the Standing Committee of the House of Representatives on Legislation Omelyanyuk Alexander Pavlovich. The meeting was also attended by the chairman of the Pinsk city organization of the "Belaya Rus" Bylinskaya Lyudmila Stepanovna, representatives of the trade union. Alexander Pavlovich spoke about the features of the legislative act, as well as the role of the Belarusian People's Assembly in the life of the country. He highlighted the most important points of the document, what will be the main function of the new state body, what the Belarusian People's Assembly will soon become, what issues it can be entrusted with, the terms of its powers, and specific tasks that the delegates should carry out. Students, university staff and representatives of public organizations asked questions on the topic under discussion and expressed their opinion on the proposed changes. The All-Belarusian People's Assembly is the supreme body of people's power in the Republic of Belarus, which will take on a number of functions to resolve issues of the state, develop basic documents for the development of our country, consider issues of the National Security Concept, appoint senior officials and others.
