On April 14, 2023, the XVII International Youth Scientific and Practical Conference “Scientific Potential of Youth - the Future of Belarus”, traditional for Polessky State University, was held. Vice-Rector for Science and Research of Polessky State University, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor Shtepa Vladimir Nikolaevich addressed the conference participants with a welcoming speech. The work of the conference began with a plenary session. The event was led by the head of the scientific and innovative department of Polessky State University, candidate of economic sciences, associate professor Rybalko Yulia Aleksandrovna. Reports at the plenary session were made by: Dobrinets Yana Ivanovna - post-graduate student of the Faculty of Economics and Finance. Topic of the report: "Statistics and some trends in the development of the public procurement system in the Republic of Belarus"; Zhur Nikolay Vladimirovich – PhD student of the Faculty of Biotechnology. Topic of the report: "Study of the dynamics of the state of bone tissue metabolism in junior and youth athletes"; Ustimchuk Alena Vladimirovna – PhD student of the Faculty of Healthy Lifestyle Organization. Topic of the report: "Diagnosis of coordination abilities in young athletes"; Shikunets Aleksey Borisovich - undergraduate of the Faculty of Biotechnology. Topic of the report: "Evaluation of the embryotoxicity of electrolytically treated aqueous solutions on the example of the Danio Rerio model". After the plenary session, the conference continued with the work of sections in 20 scientific areas. This year the conference was held in a dual format: through the Microsoft Teams platform and in classrooms, which helped to attract more participants from different regions of the Republic of Belarus and neighboring countries to the event. More than 300 abstracts were accepted for publication.
