From April 10 to April 17, 2023, assistants of the Department of Aquaculture Technologies Likhota Vladislav Yuryevich and Kozyr Alexey Viktorovich completed an internship at the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education "Novosibirsk State Agrarian University", Novosibirsk, Russian Federation. The internship was organized at the Department of Biology, Bioresources and Aquaculture (Head Irina Vladimirovna Moruzi, Doctor of Biology, Professor) and the Aquaculture Research Center (Head Sergei Vladimirovich Sevasteev, Candidate of Biology, Associate Professor). The internship was held in an international group with the participation of representatives of the Altai branch of LLP "Scientific and production center of fisheries", Kazakhstan, Ust-Kamenogorsk. Specialists from Kazakhstan were invited to take an internship at the Department of Aquaculture Technologies of the Polessky State University. As part of the internship "Sturgeon breeding and trout breeding", theoretical and practical classes in the biotechnology of sturgeon and salmon were studied. Thus, a large collection of sturgeon species has been formed at the Aquaculture Research Center (ICA): Siberian sturgeon, Sterlet, Beluga, Lena sturgeon. In the study of the taxonomy and ichthyology of sturgeon species, intergeneric characters play an important role. Having only theoretical knowledge, it is often difficult even for an experienced fish farmer to correctly identify sturgeons. The training at the ICA made it possible to work with the collection and learn modern methods of determining genera developed by NSAU scientists. Also, the methodology and practice of preparing for transportation and the formation of bags with sturgeon seeding material was worked out. The technique was studied and applied in practice, biotechnical calculations were carried out for the transportation of sturgeon and salmon fry in various climatic conditions. Practical training at ICA allowed me to work with rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) larvae. And to study the stages of development of juveniles from prelarva to larva. New ways of determining the formation of the larva on the "float", the transition to active feeding have been studied. Experiments were carried out to determine the feeding behavior of rainbow trout larvae. After receiving positive results, the starting feeding of rainbow trout larvae was carried out. The staff of the Department of Biology, Bioresources and Aquaculture provided new methodological materials and approaches to the educational process in such disciplines as: ichthyology, ichthyopathology, hydrobiology, general technology of food production, commercial fish farming, aquaculture technical means that will be used for its further implementation in the educational process specialty 6-05-0831-01 Aquatic bioresources and aquaculture.
