On May 5, 2023, in Minsk, with the participation of representatives of the Polessky State University and the subject of innovation infrastructure Technopark “Polesie “, the forum “Import substitution: new projects, new opportunities” aimed at integrating the efforts of state institutions, business and science was held. The organizers were the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Belarus and the ASER company, the official partner is the Development Bank. The event consisted of: A platform for meeting representatives of business and government agencies; Tools and practices for the implementation of import-substituting investment projects in one day in one place; Opportunity to learn about the benefits and preferences of SEZs, Great Stone, Bremino-Orsha and other sites for the implementation of investment projects; Financial instruments for import substitution projects. The forum was opened by the First Deputy Minister of Economy CHEBOTAR Yury Adamovich with a report: “Trends in economic development and measures to stimulate investment activity in Belarus”. There were a number of panel discussion sections: "State policy and regulation in the field of import substitution: changes in legislation and emerging prospects"; "Platforms and locations for the implementation of investment projects"; "Financing of import-substituting investment projects: dialogue with financial institutions"; "Cases of import substitution projects: sharing experience". Representatives of the Polessky State University and Technopark “ Polesie” formed a circle of contacts based on the objectives of promoting the project of an industrial (industrial) park in Pinsk. The results of preliminary negotiations and analysis of the information presented at the forum made it possible to determine further steps to create an appropriate concept for the development of such an infrastructure facility.
