On May 9, on Victory Day, a solemn parade was held on the main square of the city of Pinsk. Students, teachers and staff of the Polessky State University, members of the primary organizations "Belarusian Republican Youth Union", "Belarusian Women's Union", representatives of the trade union committee of Poles State University took part in an event where they paid tribute to the memory of the dead and honored the living veterans and participants of the Great Patriotic War. From the main square of the city, as part of a festive column, representatives of the Polessky State University marched to the Memorial of the Liberators of Pinsk, where they laid fresh flowers at the Eternal Flame in memory of the fallen heroes who won the freedom and independence of our Motherland.
