As part of the strengthening of scientific and technological cooperation between Polessky State University and organizations of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, on May 11, 2023, an agreement on cooperation was signed between Polessky State University and the Polessky Agrarian and Ecological Institute (PAEI). PAEI of Belarus (Brest) is specialized in conducting fundamental and applied scientific research in the field of developing evidence-based measures aimed at the conservation and rational use of the natural resource potential of the Polesie region, which fully corresponds to the objectives of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus No. 203 " On the creation of an educational institution "Polessky State University" with a focus on this region. The prospects of the document concluded between the rector of the Polessky State University DUNAI Valery Ivanovich and the director of the PAEI MIKHALCHUK Nikolai Vasilyevich are confirmed by the similarity of a number of areas of scientific research: in ecology, soil science, zoology and botany, biogeochemistry, physiology and biochemistry of plants. At a working meeting between the heads of organizations, an agreement was reached on cooperation in terms of the formation of joint applications for financing practice-oriented projects, including at the expense of the Innovation Fund of the Brest Region, a systematic exchange of information and mutual training of specialists. Also, our partners from the PAEI NAS of Belarus visited the branch laboratories of the Polessky “DNA and cell technologies in crop and animal husbandry” and “Longitudinal research”.
