On September 14, 2023, on the eve of the youngest national holiday - National Unity Day - a dialogue platform "September 17 - National Unity Day" was held at Polessky State University. The dialogue platform was attended by Irina Yulyanovna Sachkovskaya, member of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, Vladimir Vladimirovich Makarushko, chairman of the primary organization of Polessky State University of the Pinsk Regional Public Organization "Belaya Rus", Anna Vasilievna Lazovskaya, chairman of the youth parliament at the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, students and university staff. Irina Yulyanovna told the meeting participants about the origins of National Unity Day and its significance for every Belarusian. In addition, Irina Yulyanovna introduced those present to the basics of the electoral system and innovations in electoral law in the Republic of Belarus. The dialogue participants discussed what needs to be done to preserve the historical memory of the people.
