On October 24, the “Meeting of Generations” was held at the Palace of Independence with the participation of the President of Belarus Alexander Grigorievich Lukashenko. It is symbolic that it was held on the eve of the 105th anniversary of the Komsomol and on the day of the 10th anniversary of the opening of the Palace of Independence. First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union Alexander Sergeevich Lukyanov noted another symbolism of the meeting - it is taking place on the eve of the 60th anniversary of the student brigade movement in Belarus. Among those invited to talk with the head of state are activists of the Belarusian Republican Pioneer Organization and the Belarusian Republican Youth Union, veterans of the Komsomol movement. The President’s conversation with youth activists lasted about 2.5 hours.
The meeting participants, including the commander of the Sputnik service detachment Tamara Lozitskaya, were able to ask questions that interested them, which related to public activities in general and the participation of Alexander Lukashenko in it even before he began to lead the state, and the prospects for the development of enterprises. On the territory of the Palace of Independence, representatives of the youth activists of Belarus, together with the head of state, laid out the Alley of Generations.
