On October 17, 2023, a Republican seminar on the commercialization of the results of scientific and scientific-technical activities was held at the Scientific and Technological Park of BNTU "Polytechnic". The main purpose of the seminar was to train students in methods of registration, determination of patentability and provision of legal protection, transfer of rights to the results of scientific and scientific-technical activities (NTD), assessment of their cost, methods of implementation and further promotion, the procedure for including and excluding information in the state register of rights on the results of scientific and technical documentation.
The seminar was opened by the director of the state institution “Belarusian Institute of System Analysis and Information Support for the Scientific and Technical Sphere”, Candidate of Biological Sciences Natalya Fedorovna Pavlova.
The seminar program included the following reports: 1. Issues of intellectual property rights in the context of mandatory commercialization of the results of scientific and scientific-technical activities. Disposal of property rights to the results of scientific and technical activities during their commercialization (Losev Sergey Sergeevich, leading researcher of the department of research in the field of civil, environmental and social law of the Institute of Legal Research of the National Center for Legislation and Legal Research of the Republic of Belarus, Candidate of Legal Sciences, Associate Professor);
2. Commercialization of the results of intellectual activity in organizations of the pharmaceutical industry of the Republic of Belarus (Maria Mikhailovna Sholomitskaya, assistant at the Department of Economics of Industrial Enterprises of the Belarusian State Economic University); 3. Engineering service for the development and commercialization of new products: from idea to implementation (Dick Alexey Vladimirovich, director of InKata Product Development LLC);
4. Experience in assessing and registering the results of scientific and scientific-technical activities (Elena Aleksandrovna Borovskaya, associate professor of the Faculty of International Relations of the Belarusian State University, appraiser of intellectual property, candidate of economic sciences, associate professor).
The seminar was attended by more than 170 representatives of enterprises, institutions, organizations of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, ministries, the Presidential Administration, and other enterprises of various forms of ownership.
The online seminar was attended by the head of the scientific and innovation department of the Polessky State University, candidate of economic sciences, associate professor Yulia Aleksandrovna Rybalko, and the head of the “Business Center” laboratory Anna Vitalievna Khomich.
