he Republican Action Plan for the Year of Quality has been approved in Belarus. This is provided for by Resolution of the Council of Ministers of January 16, 2024 No. 41. The document provides for 69 events aimed at strengthening the economic potential of Belarus, ensuring quality indicators through stimulating initiative, creating personal civic responsibility for achieving a high quality of life, and information support for the Year of Quality. Their goals, mechanisms and implementation deadlines, and responsible executors have also been determined.
It is planned to participate in the legislative support of the Year of Quality (preparation and adoption of a number of laws), improve the customs administration procedure, expand the network of technology and innovation support centers and improve their activities, including by developing an electronic platform for interaction between participants in this network.
In addition, the plan provides for increasing the coverage of the forest fund with automated Video Surveillance systems for the purpose of timely detection of forest fires, re-equipping and modernizing production facilities, maintaining high quality public roads, developing the functionality of the rating portal for organizations providing services, ensuring the livelihoods of the population and (or ) carrying out administrative procedures, and its popularization, introduction and widespread holding of competitions for innovators, rationalization ideas, professional skills, ensuring the work of public reception centers to accept proposals from the population to improve the quality of life and services provided. Also, in the Year of Quality, it is planned to expand the use of potential natural healing resources through the introduction of new types of medical services and spa treatment programs in all sanatorium and resort organizations, and the expansion of the practice of using additional pension insurance programs.
This year, measures will also be taken to improve the quality of life in rural areas through the implementation of a set of measures aimed at creating comfortable conditions for the life and residence of citizens in rural areas, the development of modern social, engineering and transport infrastructure that ensures established quality standards (standards) life.
The action plan also provides for the development of a concept for preparing persons with special needs for psychophysical development for work, family life, their socialization and integration into society. Sections “Year of Quality” will be created on the websites of government agencies, regional executive committees, the Minsk City Executive Committee, and educational institutions, followed by posting information about events dedicated to the Year of Quality, and thematic reviews will also be published on social networks.
In addition, the plan provides for the production and sale in retail of a thematic collection of clothing (merch) dedicated to famous brands of the domestic industry, as well as the organization of a ceremony for presenting the State Quality Mark. The State Committee for Standardization is authorized to coordinate the activities of government agencies and other organizations to implement the plan.
