A Polessky State University student is a bronze medalist of the European Karate Championship among cadets, juniors and youth.

The European Karate Championship among cadets, juniors and youth under 21 has ended in the capital of Georgia, Tbilisi. The competition brought together more than 1,160 athletes from 49 countries, the number of participants was a record in the history of the tournament. 3rd year student of the Faculty of Healthy Lifestyle Organization Nikita Sahvon competed in kumite (fights), U21 (18-20 years old) up to 84 kg. The karateka had five intense fights and won a bronze medal. Based on the results of the competition, he will be awarded the title Master of Sports of the Republic of Belarus in karate.
