On May 21, 2024, the republican youth forum "Sense" was held in Minsk on the basis of the Cultural Spiritual and Educational Center "Ark" of the St. Elizabeth Monastery in Minsk. Life. The future."
At the event, the state, the Church and society joined forces to preserve and strengthen traditional spiritual and moral values among young people, focused on a strong family, the birth and upbringing of children, the continuity of generations, and a healthy lifestyle. The forum was organized by the Pokrov Charitable Foundation for Family, Motherhood and Childhood Support, the Belarusian Orthodox Church, the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus, and the Republican Institute of Higher Education.
The forum was attended by delegations of higher education institutions from all regions of Belarus, as well as representatives of youth associations of the Belarusian Orthodox Church – more than 200 people in total. Polessky State University was represented by Alexandra Zharkova, Oleg Gutsko and Polina Sereda.
The opening ceremony was attended by parliamentarians, heads of executive authorities of the Republic of Belarus, who regulate the spheres of state family and youth policy, education, public and youth associations. The forum included six thematic sections dedicated to the formation and promotion of traditional values. Psychologists, teachers and clergymen conducted master classes and talks with young people.
The winners of the republican contest of youth social projects "Youth of Belarus for life, morality and family values" and the presentation of the exhibition "Family is the cradle of virtues" were also awarded, through the exhibits of which the main idea was carried out: it is family virtues that make a family stable and capable of transferring traditions from the older generation to the younger. The hero of the photo exhibition was the Ilyushin family with many children, the winner of the V Republican contest "Family of the Year".
