On August 20, the Olympic Hopes Open Swimming Championships were held at the Polessky State University Sports Complex, in which more than 280 young swimmers from St. Petersburg, Moscow, and the Perm Region took part. The competitions are organized jointly with the Center of Physical Culture of PolesSU and are held in order to identify promising athletes and to prepare for the Russian Championship.

From August 18 to August 29, 2025, Polessky State University, together with the Department of Labor, Employment and Social Protection of Pinsk city, organized temporary employment for students of PolesSU. Students of the Faculty of Economics and Finance, Faculty of Biotechnology and Faculty of Engineering work at the university facilities.

Congratulations to Egor Ovchinnikov, a 2nd-year student of the Healthy Way of Life Organisation Faculty at Polessky State University, a graduate of the Pinsk Specialized Children and Youth School of Olympic Reserve in rowing and sailing sports, on his victory at the World Junior and Youth Canoe Sprint Championships!

Students of the Faculty of Healthy Lifestyle Organization are taking part in the international educational project “Summer University – 2025” from July 21 to August 2 at the Siberian Federal University in Krasnoyarsk. “Summer University” is a real center of attraction for students from different parts of the world, where study is combined with science, culture and new discoveries.

Valery Ivanovich Dunai, Rector of Polessky State University, was awarded the Certificate of Honor of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus for many years of fruitful work in the field of education, significant personal contribution to the organization of the educational process, and the training of highly qualified specialists.

From June 30 to July 26, 2025, under the guidance of the Deputy Dean for Ideological and Educational Work, E.I. Prilovskaya, and Associate Professor of the Biotechnological Department, A.V. Shashko, the group 22BT-1 underwent educational scientific research practice.

From July 21 to 23, students majoring in “Biotechnology” completed the practical part of their practice in the Department of Testing Food and Agricultural Products at the State Enterprise “Pinsk Center for Standardization, Metrology, and Certification”.

The achievements of students of the educational establishment “Polessky State University” in academic, scientific and social activities have been recognized at a high level. By the decision of the special fund of the President of the Republic of Belarus for social support of gifted pupils and students, scholarships of the President of the Republic of Belarus for the second semester of the 2024/2025 academic year have been awarded to:

Vice-Rector for Ideology and Educational Affairs, Olga Anatolyevna Khmel, conducted an excursion to the PolesSU Museum for Master's students from the People's Republic of China as part of a class on pedagogy and psychology of higher education on the topic “The Higher Education System of the Republic of Belarus”.

Students of Polessky State University, as part of student pedagogical teams organized with the support of the BRSM (Belarusian Republican Youth Union), went to the educational and recreation camp “Zarnitsa” (JSC “Integral”), where they work as educator assistants. Participation in student teams is a good tradition of our university that unites energetic, proactive, and creative students.

On July 17, 2025, Ekaterina Igorevna Prilovskaya, Deputy Dean for Ideological and Educational Work of the Biotechnological Faculty, and members of the information and propaganda group comprised of students, conducted a Unified Information Day for faculty, staff, and students on the topic: “Sovereign Belarus: From the Restoration of the National Economy to Innovative Projects of the Future”.
