Undergraduates from the People's Republic of China got acquainted with the history of PolesSU in the university museum

On October 17, undergraduates from the People's Republic of China studying at Polessky State University visited the university museum.

The tour was conducted by Olga Anatolyevna Khmel, Vice-rector for Ideological and Educational Work, and Alexey Borisovich Rudenko, methodologist at the Department for Ideological and Educational Work. Olga Anatolyevna introduced the Chinese students to the expositions of the museum rooms, telling in detail about the history of the formation and development of PolesSU.

During the visit, undergraduates were able to see unique museum samples: banknotes of various historical eras, important documents, bonds, archival materials and household items that vividly illustrate the life and traditions of the region.

The guests were particularly interested in the authentic exhibits of the museum. Chinese students enthusiastically guessed the purpose of antique items. They easily recognized the Russian samovar, and also correctly identified the purpose of the other exhibits. For example, they immediately guessed that the exquisite dress from the past was the bride's wedding outfit, and the antique chest was used to store clothes.

The visit to the museum left vivid impressions for undergraduates from China and allowed them to get to know the historical and cultural heritage of the university and Belarus better.
