On September 1, 2025, Polessky State University hosted a solemn assembly dedicated to the Day of Knowledge and the beginning of the academic year.
680 first-year students and 104 lyceum students were accepted into the university family and the 2025/2026 academic year was launched.
Valery Ivanovich Dunai, Rector of Polessky State University, delivered a welcoming speech. He congratulated everyone present on the Day of Knowledge, and the first–year students on the first serious victory in their lives - admission to Polessky State University. Valery Ivanovich wished the faculty, students and lyceum students a successful academic year, professional and personal victories.
In a solemn ceremony, the rector of PolesSU presented the certificate of awarding the Special Prize of the Foundation of the President of the Republic of Belarus to the winner of the Meeting of Young Ecologists of Belarus and Russia "Ecology without Borders" Mikhail Evgenievich Yelensky.
The students' performances were vivid and memorable.
After the solemn oath, the freshmen were presented with a symbolic student ID.
During the day, information and festive events that had already become traditional continued at PolesSU: meetings of first-year students at faculties, information hours "Generation Relay: preserving the past, creating the future", a flash mob "We are together!", a quest through the city of Pinsk "Memory Routes" dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the Republic of Belarus from the Nazi invaders, cultural and entertainment program "Vivat PolesSU!".
